The Safe Shooters "Starter Pistol" Introductory Handgun Course

This course is our personalized beginning pistol course. It is similar to our NRA Basic Pistol course but is shorter in length and is specific to one type of handgun (usually one semi-automatic pistol). If you've never fired or rarely fired a handgun, you can start with this class.  You'll learn gun safety rules, ammunition basics, how to select, store and maintain pistols, range protocol, basics of shooting fundamentals and the safe use and operation of a handgun.  You'll enjoy a trip to the shooting range where we will instruct you in the safe use of pistols. You'll shoot several of our semi-automatic handguns. You will use our guns, ammunition, and safety equipment. If you already own a handgun, you should bring it, but you'll still have the opportunity to shoot our guns, too.  This course runs for ~5 hours. Cost is $125. A Private Course for one student is available for $225.
